Keith 30th May 2020

After 50+years I have decided to honour Bill with the title "Mate" which is far above a Lordship. Bill was an everyman, generous, competitive, a defender, compassionate and a person always grounded in reality and his own beginnings. Life eventually was good to him. 2 devoted kids, a wonderful partner, finally a grandchild. He took Fulham to the Premier League and suffered their anguish after he left. Memories aplenty. From my first meeting with him in 1969 with Contactasol through Fiji then a delapidated winery in France and finally London. A rare visit there was often just an excuse to chew the fat with him and tell each other porkies. One of the regrets of my life was living 12000 miles away. Time with Bill was always special. I will miss him forever Keith
