This is heartbreaking news. Bill was an extraordinary man - charismatic, altruistic, kind, charming, enthusiastic, witty, loyal - a true gentleman who had a gift for making others feel special. Once met, he was impossible to forget. Most importantly, to know Bill was to know what a devoted father he was. He had many interests and passions but none that compared to his love for Janey, Andy and his lovely granddaughter. I was very fortunate to have enjoyed a 25 year warm friendship with Bill that was never diminished by time and distance. He meant a great deal to me and I will dearly miss our correspondence and random calls. I’m sure your family is feeling very low right now but my hope is that, with time, you will be restored by your many happy memories of Bill. My deepest sympathies on your loss of a very special man.
